We were attending a seminar on chiropractic internet marketing. I’m a Seattle chiropractor and my city is fantastic. But, I love San Francisco. It is unique unto itself and  so much fun to visit.  And, I must say that we, chiropractors, know how to party! But, I digress… The reason that I’m writing this is because I think that there’s a big “disconnect” between patients and doctors, and among doctors themselves, when it comes to the business side of their practices. Doctors and patients, alike, believe that a doctor’s first concern should be the patient. Most doctors are extraordinarily compassionate and truly interested in the well-being of their patients. But, if a doctor can’t stay in practice because reimbursement is low and competition is high, then he or she won’t be around to help people. So, I think that it’s important to keep in mind the a doctor needs certain entrepreneurial skills.

This particular seminar was very helpful, too. And, I’m looking forward to utilizing what I learned. Oh, and I met several very cool bay area chiropractors. I particularly liked the doc from San Jose. So, if you see his ads online, just remember, even though your first thought is that he’s trying to make money, his real intention is to help you to find him so that he can help you to feel better again!
